Texas whitetail numbers are second to no other state in the country. And with Texas being the innovators of wildlife management, the quality of our whitetail is astounding. At Big Johnson Outfitters we follow a strict management program on all of our ranches to ensure to best quality of Texas whitetail and a very high success rate for each and every guest. We limit our hunts to what each ranch can sustain and keep our whitetail doe numbers in check and eliminate undesireables or whitetail cull bucks as early on as possible. That means bigger Texas whitetail bucks for you to hunt. Rarely are you going to harvest only one Texas whitetail, as most hunters knock down 2-5 whitetail depending on our management plan. Average whitetail sightings will be anywhere from 10-20 Texas whitetail’s a day with 60-70% being whitetail bucks. Texas also provides long seasons, over the counter tags and an astonishing amount of low pressured country. Typically weather in Texas during whitetail season is mild compared to Midwestern and northern states, letting you enjoy your hunt with your family and friends.
All our Texas whitetail deer hunts are 4 night 3 day hunts except doe and cull buck hunts which are 3 night 2 day hunts. note: Our classifications are for mature deer (4 ½ to 5 ½ years old). Whitetail Does will be allowed to be shot within the harvest limit defined for us by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Prices are regardless of kill unless noted and do not include gratuity.

General Information
For non-hunters, our daily food and lodging is $250. Transportation to and from Lubbock Airport is $375 per vehicle (up to 3 people per vehicle). Check-in is the evening before your hunt and includes supper. Check-out is after your last hunting sit.
