The Ovi Store is growing and growing like a bush fire – it now host 5 million downloads a day, nearly 8 times more than what it did a year ago. The number of apps has reached 40,000 and that numbers grows by another 1,000 each week.

It’s not just the Symbian devices (though the Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01 account for 15% of all downloads), it’s Series 40 devices too. Following a recent refresh of the S40 Ovi Store, Nokia feature phone owners now account for about a quarter of the downloads.
